Trouble with renaming devices in the designer

I tried to rename some devices in the designer, but now see "500 The call failed on the server; see server log for details" every time I log in to the designer. I also deleted some devices once I saw that the renaming didn't appear to work for some components of devices – e.g. the new name would show up but if I switched to the "UI Designer" tab and then revert when I switched back to the "Building Modeler" tab.

Could someone assist me in getting my devices into a clean state again? The one lingering device that I could not delete and that appears to be the cause of the current error message (and perpetual "hourglass" next to the device name) is named "Black Lamp".

Has anyone else had similar problems with renaming devices?

My account on the modeler is cortextual.

I just happened to have the same problem - I created device, then renamed it to "HTTP requests" - and now every time I try to reload Designer - "500 The call failed on the server; see server log for details" error appears. I cannot remove the device either as the same error pops up.

Possible reason was I still had the sensor in use at page layout design... I cannot remove page design layour either...
