Help for an OR KNX early beginner

Nicolas THIBERT

Hi all,

I'm an early beginner on OR KNX.

I need your help to begin.
I tried to find a solution though the FAQ, forum... but my question seems to be too stupid. Anyway, I feel so stupid...

Here is where I am:
I have a KNX installation at home, set up done via ETS 3.0f and a Hager TH210 router.
No specific problem, the installation works fine.

I bought and downloaded the OR KNX 1.4.2; No problem to install it and to be connected to the bus through the TH210.

After that: nothing... Impossible for me to set up the installation on my Iphone. I really don't know how to proceed.
I tried to reproduce my ETS database: no way...

I tried to read the online documentation, but I probably missed something.

Thanks a lo in advance for any help I may receive...

Best regards,

    Hello,

Perhaps I need to give more details.
My problem is how to reproduce the address groups existing on my ETS database.
Especially, the topology is with 2 levels with ETS, and OR requires 3 levels, like the addresses for each equipment.

    So, how can I do?

    Thanks in advance again,

      Dear Nicolas,

please have a look on this post: http://knx-user-forum.de/74880-post2.html. If you have problems with the language, just let me know. Anyway, there is even a converting tool (windows): http://knx-user-forum.de/downloads.php?do=file&id=285

... but I don't know, why you don't get access with your router.

      Cheers,

      Stefan

You can use these tools for groupd address conversion :
      http://sitelec.org/cours/abati/eib/download/eib_ad_gr_en.swf (eng)
      http://sitelec.org/cours/abati/eib/download/eib_ad_gr.swf (fra)

Do you have the ETS database ? Is so, you can export group addresses in a csv format. Overwise, if the installation is made of Hager products, you may be able to recover group addresses and configuration using an E-Mode tool.

        Thanks, it works.
I'm able to access to the installation.
I made few tests, that's fun.
However, a strange bug I have to work on: While reconnecting to the bus with OR, most of the lights turn on, but not all, despite OR displays that they are turned off. It's a repeatable bug, so an explanation somewhere...

I need to introduce the dimmers. I did not find so far.

        Thanks for your help.

        Nicolas
